welcome to esoprs meeting
ESOPRS members, colleagues, ladies and gentlemen,
on behalf of the ESOPRS committee you are cordially invited to join the 28th annual meeting of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS)
in Munich from 9 - 11 September 2010.
The first day of the meeting will be devoted to a specially formatted course "Current Concepts in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery", focused on frontiers and controversial issues in this field. It will assemble an outstanding faculty representing opinion leaders in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
The scientific meeting on Friday and Saturday - dedicated to eyelid, orbital and lacrimal topics - with oral and poster presentations, videos, invited lectures and an industrial exhibition will seamlessly blend established knowledge with new information and stimulate interaction and discussion.
The congress will take place in the main building of the renowned Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
The Bavarian capital of Munich in Southern Germany enjoys a very favorable location in the heart of Europe close to the Alps. The city as one of Germany´s most popular destinations has much to offer. Cosmopolitan and proud, trend merges with Bavarian tradition. Munich is a kaleidoscope of contrasts under the typically blue and white Bavarian sky, and one finds both trendy spots and "Gemütlichkeit".
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Munich in September 2010!

Probably the best Italian ice cream in town: Chancing selection of 12 different tastes, such like milk-mint, lemon-basil or chocolate-ginger. Plus one taste for free. The chef Giorgio Ballabeni seems to be a perfectionist in composing and producing ice cream. Ideal location: Just between the University and the "Pinakothek der Moderne". Disadvantage: often long queues.
Da Rosario
The small restaurant "Da Rosario" is well known for home made pasta - a nice family run Italian place close to the University. Good quality food, easy setting and moderate prices.

Conviva im Blauen Haus
A cooperative project restaurant belonging to one of Munich´s famous theaters ("Kammerspiele"). The slogan is "light and fresh - cross-country and regional". In a clearly designed dining-hall without any kitsch one finds carefully prepared and ambitious menus, which are tasty and surprisingly moderate calculated (four-course menu of the evening €23.50).
Anna Restaurant & Bar
Stylish bar and restaurant for locals and internationals, from breakfast till nightcap. Centrally located on the "Stachus" between main station and Marienplatz. Good choice of Sushi, modern, but still tasty menues and good selection of drinks at the bar; reasonable pricing.
