Underground station: Underground (U-Bahn), lines U3 & U6, station "Universität"

Arrival by car

The arrival by car is not recommended, because  parking is difficult. Next public car park is nearby the opera house, one stop by underground (U3, U6).

Arrival by train
Take from the central station ("Hauptbahnhof") one of the suburban trains (S-Bahn) towards  "Marienplatz"/ "Isartor“. At "Marienplatz“ please chance to the underground (line U3 or U6) in direction to "Münchner Freiheit“. Exit at the second stop (underground station "Universität“) for the congress venue.

Arrival by airplane

Take the suburban train S1 or S8 from the airport to Munich city center. At the station "Marienplatz“ please change to the underground line U3 or U 6 in direction to "Münchner Freiheit“. Go on two stops by underground to station "Universität“ for the congress venue. A ticket costs 10,40 €. 

Alternatively the Airport bus (Lufthansa Airport Bus) connects the central train station with the airport and costs 10,50 € (return ticket 17,00 €). A taxi from the airport to the congress venue costs approx. 65,00 €.

Public transportation
The public transportation system of Munich is very efficient and safe. Tickets are available at the airport, every suburban or underground station, in tramways and buses.
